As of January 2, 2013, the legal staff of the Mann Legal Group, LLC has joined Carter, Ledyard
& Milburn, LLP. Pamela A. Mann has become a partner in the firm and head of its Tax-Exempt
Organizations practice group. Anne Gerson has joined the firm as a senior associate in the Tax-
Exempt Organizations practice group. Carter, Ledyard is a full-service, Wall Street firm with
numerous practice areas, including an active and well-respected tax-exempt organizations and

The Mann Legal Group’s work on behalf of its clients has been enhanced by this new
association. Carter Ledyard’s sophisticated support services and personnel will enable us to
better handle larger matters and better service our clients’ needs. Second, we will be able to

upon “in-house” experts in other fields, such as real estate, employment, and litigation.

Pamela Mann has been recognized by New York Magazine’s “Best Lawyers in New York” and "Super Lawyer” magazine in the category of lawyers specializing in nonprofit and charities law.

Before opening the practice in 1996, Pamela Mann was Chief of the Charities Bureau in the New York Attorney General’s office for over a decade. As bureau chief, she directed scores of important cases, investigations, and initiatives. As well, she influenced the adoption of significant legislative changes affecting tax-exempt organizations. 

Ms. Mann’s diverse background includes clinical teaching at Rutgers University School of Law’s Constitutional Litigation Clinic and litigation of employment discrimination and other employment-related matters at the National Employment Law Project. Ms. Mann received her B.A. from Oberlin College and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
